So just wanted to do a run through of what im running in some detail bc im always changing stuff up lol Ill start at the top and work my way down in order. Head Unit- JVC A95bt 5v pre-outs- Great deck for the price btw! 4 channel amp- PPI Black Ice bk 800.4 Interior Speakers- Front- American Bass SQ 3.5" 2-ways in dash Front Doors- CDT silk dome tweeters on CDT xover/ 6.5" American Bass SQ sealed pro mids w/ American Bass MX 3.5" ceramic super tweeters Rear Doors- PRV 6mb200 6.5" pro mids w/ American Bass SQ05t bullet tweeters and Memphis SYNC tweeters in both rear pillars. Sub Amp- Digital Designs M4  Sub- single 18" Sundown Audio Zv4 dual 1 ohm wired at .4ohm Sub Box- 8cu/ft tuned to 30hz with 2-6" aero's Electrical- PowerBastards 220a alt with dual 1/0 ofc runs of AudioTechnix and 2/0 welding wire for ground front to back. Front battery- XS Power d3400 Rear batteries- XS Power XP3000 & Crescendo Logic g31 That should about cover it for now and pics are coming! |

2 ct 1400.1 @1 ohm each so around 2400w from each one
to a bad azz 15 in a crazy 6ft box. my box will be like a 6th order but more musical.
I'll eventually have the electrical to back it up.
im really hoping for at least (least) 140db legal sealed on dash. And at least 143 non legal windows Down.
do you guys think this is a pipe dream or is this possible?
either way i wanna show people that with single 15 you can hair trick!

I was pulling 140s on a pair of 8s so you definitely have the cone area and amp power. As long as you have the right box and up your electrical there should be no reason not to hit or bump a 140+.

I honestly think you will be better than a 143. In my Lexus IS300 I ran a Sundown saz1000d at .5ohm on my 15" Incriminator Audio Death Row 15 and I metered a 144.7 legal at 37hz. Trunk build with a aero ported SPY box. So I def think with the 2-ct 1400's you will even be over the 145 possibly. I even ran 2-15" Memphis m3's with 2-pr1000 amps and still only managed a 144.2 so figures I was louder with the single sub and amp lol. But numbers are tough if you tune low....the lower the tune the lower on the meter you will be. Like me lol I should be a 150 but if I was tuned to 38hz I might be, but im tuned to 29-30 so my loss in numbers is for gain in low end sound |

screw high tunes! i think a 145 @34hz is way more impressive then a 155at 69hz! i mean who the hell wants to hear a annoying high buzz noise?
but with the box I'm building i should have both low and extension.
I'm doing a double chamber reflex box. so the chamber the sub is in will be tuned low around 26hz and the second chamber around 36hz so I'm hoping to peak at 60hz and play down to 20hz. I'm all about the lows! plus.i want to be as musical as 5,000w can be.
i was thinking about doing a standard vented box and doing a interchange port box. so for daily ground pounding running a 28hz tune but when i want to chase the term lab throw on a 45hz tune and with some testing make a few others. so ranging from 28-55hz ports. but the.amount of power I'm pushing to this sub i think i really need the control of the dual chamber box

i would need 3 8inch aero.ports for the box I'm building. that's almost $400 just in ports. I'm just doing slot vent. i already have to much money in this thing and another $400 for ports just isn't gonna happen!

There's also a guy that makes them out of green pvc and they are only 70$ a pop with flares on each end. But if you aren't looking to spend more than yea the slot is the way to go. |

the psycho ports are really expensive. and that's still $210 just for ports. rather do slot. plus i like the way they look better. even tho the loudest ones ihear are usually ports i just like slot vent
