oh Steve i also know another kid you know. i cant remember his last name. but his name is Adam. he drives a silver merc. has a 15 psi In a Crap box.on a 2500 RRubicon amp. that just shit the the bed. I'm doing a install for him right now. and I'll be building him a box very soon.

small world huh? i just helped him demo and sell a reconed alpine type x. you have anything to do with that? because his amp died he couldn't show the kid it worked. that thing was a monster! love the surround! I've done trades and installs with both of them.

oh and I'm.thinking about taking a Loan to make this happen! i wish i knew that we would have enough business to make a profit. but even as just a place for members to have a warm dry tool infested place to do builds would be awesome!

You could do box builds and sell them online or at the shop. you would also have a shop and could be a supplier for a company like dd,ct, alpine ect. ect. I was thinking this a few months ago but I don't make enough money yet to do it. it could also do tint's THE LIST GOES ON

Id love to be an installer...but sad to say here in upstate NY it wont pay the bills  id need to bring home 700+ a week as i do now for it to make it worth while and even local audio shops are barely making it bc of internet sales and diy people being a lot of people would rather risk installing their own stuff to avoid paying a shops hourly rate. Ive done many hours of research, hell i even got approved for a 75,000$ business loan(even had a DBA and business name "Relentless Audio")...but in reality i dont think id make it so im too afraid of losing 75,000$ thats a shit ton of money to me |

Aj to even get a business loan you need a DBA, pay 100$ at the county building and get a permit then give them the name of the business and then they take about a week to get back to you bc they need to run the name you chose to see if its already been taken. And unless you have awesome credit then its near impossible to get a business loan. I have a score of 783 which is in the above average - excellent rating 820 is the best. I still was only approved for 75,000 business and 22,000 personal....and thats with an income of 42,000$ a year gross not including my wife bc i was going to try to do it by myself. Hell even 75,000$ wont get you much in the way of what you would really need to properly get started. Many companies these days you have to have money upfront to buy their lineup of product to have to stock, I know when Electronics warehouse was in business they had contracts to fill, and had to pay for product for "X" amount of $$$$$$ i think it was close to 50,000$ just to get inventory. There's a shit ton more to "hey lets just start a business" than meets the eye. And remember, most places carry more than one brand, so just imagine the amount of money needed to stock a shop and showroom

Oh and thats not including any cost for install kits, wire, connectors, accessories and such, boxes, display/sound room, rent, paying yourself.....im sure i missed quite a bit yet lol expenses for utilities. I wish it was easy to have started up the business bc i would have done it 3 years ago....but....i just couldnt do it. And did you know that almost every business the first 3-5 years you show a loss of profit bc of the time it takes to get established and get a company off the ground?

what bank you use? i have sefcu and keybank. sefcu is good. but he is right. their is a lot of money involved that's why it's good to start out someone where cheap. it helps a lot if you have co signers though.
