just trying to figure out how to mount these to the panel... i think The glue and carpet will do it... but maybe some sealant will do the trick.

Are you crossing all those rear tweeters? Or just running them active using the amps xover network? Just asking bc I know that silk dome tweeters are very touchy/sensitive when it comes to too much power and setting them at the correct frequency. And are they 4ohm tweets? 3-4ohm tweets per channel will be a pretty low impedance. Should be about 1.3ohms if 3-4ohm tweets are wired together.

there run active, and crossed at 5,000hz i dont care if they go i got allotmore. and Dfinal load is 2.2ohm And that's fine for the amp. got them sounding right now i just need them looking right!

Kicker makes a decent tweeter actually. Don't underestimate them. But silk domes aren't made to keep up with tons of bass is there only problem. Silks are more sq for natural sound.

yea I'm actually surprised by how they sound. right Now there run on hpf And crossed at the highest point. when i finally get new comps i think I'm gonna run them off my type r xovers. i swear the xovers are better then the mids or tweets! but I'm on the hunt for new bats! I'm getting a kinetic 2000 today for doing a install. then when i finally sell my subs/Memphis amp and box I'll pick up the 3 kinetic 1800s. i really want to get rid of the yellow top. i heard that the side mounts on them are terrible for supporting gear. i have my 2/0g ofc ran on the top post but the second run and alt are ran from the side. i guess there's just a tiny piece of lead connecting the post to The core and It fails. so I'm gonna throw that 2000 under the hood. and sell the yellow

Yellow tops are good for starting battery, I believe they are like a 46h or 48ah something like that.

the yellow top will.be replaced with this tomorrow. i don't know if I'm.gonna just sell it for $50 or put it In my girls car. its a good starting battery, and isn't bad for small wattage systems. i don't know yet...

In all actuality....the yellow top is a much better battery for under hood starting. Car Audio batts are meant to be used as secondary cells. That's why XS power makes the d series which are made more for under hood application vs XP line up. Kinteik makes a racing battery that's more suited for under hood or also their newest line up which is like more expensive than XS batteries.

that bat has more cranking amps and burst amps then the yellow. plus that yellow is pretty old now. the drop is getting worse each day. yesterday while driving. not full tilt i usually stay at 13.8 it was dropping to 13.2. i swapped them last night... no more drop and seems to actually start quicker. i was never a fan of yellow top. i got that for way cheap! $35

that yellow was bought after the company that now Owns it. if it was a original yellow then i would agree with you. but Now there just cheap made overpriced bats...

Do you have the big 3/4 done on your car yet? Might help with that voltage.

I haven't ran yellows in over 3-4 years. But yes original yellows are a solid battery. All I was getting at is cold starts aren't where audio batts are purpose built. Your battery under your hood will actually get colder in the winter than the interior battery(in trunk) I had a kinteik 2400 under hood in eclipse and first winter it swelled up and cracked the case down the whole side corner. Ever since that happened I always ran yellow top for under hood then went to XS power d3400's

yea i have the big 4 done. And the yellow tops really aren't what they use to be. i agree that a few years ago they were great bats. but some Mexican company bought them a while back. they took all the good stuff away but kept the price tag. and.considering i just got that 2000 for pretty much free...well it would suck to lose it to the cold. but I'm only out a few hours of my time. if it does fail I'll just get a die hard Platt to take its spot.
